Elkhart Lake Improvement Association

Regulation/Legislation

Federal, state and local laws and ordinances have been established to protect the well being of the lake itself, the safety of lake users, the integrity of the shoreline and watershed, and the wildlife living in and adjacent to the lake.

It is the role of the ELIA to heighten general public awareness of these regulations and to advocate adherence to them. It is the intent of the ELIA to participate in the process whereby this legislation is established.
